Some Were Relocated to Sicily
Christopher Nolan has granted the request of the residents of Messinia by leaving behind some of the sets used in the filming of The Odyssey, allowing them to be repurposed for tourism.
However, a significant portion of the sets was transferred to Sicily, as filming is still ongoing.
The acclaimed Hollywood director chose breathtaking locations in Messinia to bring Homer’s epic to life, including Acrocorinth, the Castle of Methoni, Nestor’s Cave, and the stunning beaches of Voidokilia and Almyrolaka.
Below are images of the sets that remain in Messinia.
