According to scientists its population is in very good condition, which is mainly due to the protection and non-intervention management of its habitats.

It mainly grows on rocky, shady or humid places and is one of the main species of flora in the area.

Along with other plants and flowers they compose this unique mountainous beauty and are exclusive species of our place.

Olympus is a flora paradise with over 1,500 species of plants and locations where all of them are either local, Greek or Balkan endemic, a fact that ranks the region among the most valuable in terms of flora worldwide.
