Poseidi of Chalkidiki is a picturesque fishing village located on the cape of Poseidi.

In ancient times, there was an ancient settlement there. Finds of ancient Mendi, mentioned by Thucydides as a colony of Eretria in the 8th century BC, have been confirmed. In the area, there is also a monument, the temple of Poseidon, which was excavated in the period 1990 - 1994.

Just past the peninsula of Sani, overlooking Thermaikos and only 4.5 nautical miles from Pelion is the sandy peninsula of Poseidi.

It is a strip of land covered by the turbulent waters of Thermaikos in winter and lost in the waves, while in summer. When the waters calm and recede, a peninsula emerges. Its length is 10 km and depending on the weather conditions in winter, it emerges in a different form in summer. To the right and left are two enchanting beaches, with white sand and turquoise, crystal clear water.

During the day you can enjoy the crystal clear sea and the sun on the white sand and in the afternoon a magnificent sunset, one of the most beautiful in Greece, where the sun disappears behind Mount Olympus and the sea becomes visible in the colors of the sky.
