In the aftermath of a historic two-hour conversation between two of the world's most influential figures, the left’s vast propaganda machine is working overtime to downplay its significance.
Why? What’s so threatening about the right having any platform at all? The left already controls most of the mainstream media, Big Tech, Hollywood, academia, woke corporations, and an unprecedented flow of donor money. Yet, it's as if they won’t rest until the right has nothing left. As long as conservatives have even a small platform, the left seems to view it as an existential threat.
What is it that bothers them so much? Is it simply the fear that if Americans are exposed to conservative ideas, they might actually choose them? There's certainly an argument for that. Or is there something deeper at play?
Perhaps it’s something intangible that Donald Trump and Elon Musk represent. This wasn’t just a conversation; it was a meeting between two visionaries—men who, before stepping into the political arena, were widely respected in their fields. Yet, the moment they challenged the status quo, they became targets of an intense, relentless hatred.
So, why do they persist? Why do they continue to speak out? If you're Donald Trump, why endure two impeachments, unprecedented censorship, countless legal battles, and even an assassination attempt? And if you’re Elon Musk, why take on the anti-free speech brigade, from advertisers to the EU, who are determined to destroy you? Why risk half the world turning against you when you’re already revolutionizing it through innovation?
Andrew Breitbart once said that the establishment media has “disdain” for the American people, implying that the elites believe they know what’s best for us. Now, with Big Tech controlling the flow of information, that disdain has only grown. They believe they know the ideal version of America for everyone.
But here’s the thing: Donald Trump and Elon Musk aren’t playing by their rules. They’re saying, “Enough,” and they’ve sacrificed their dream lives to stand up for what they believe. Who else would willingly face such hatred and opposition? Only two people who envision a different, and perhaps better, version of America.
So, what’s the real threat in a conversation between these two men? Is it simply that the left fears Americans might choose conservative ideas if given the chance? Or is it something deeper—a passion the left doesn’t understand, a fearlessness they can’t grasp, or sacrifices they’re unwilling to make?
To be fair, the left has made sacrifices too. They've sacrificed honesty, tolerance, and individuality.
