Yelena Popovic's long-awaited film on the life of Saint Nektarios, "Man of God", made on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the saint's death, is to be released in cinemas in Greece and abroad. The film will be launched on the international market through the international agency Pinnacle Peak Pictures after the Covid-19 lockdowns are over.
The shooting
The international film production, an ode to the life and trials that Saint Nektarios was completed on Monday, September 21, 2020, after 7 weeks of intense filming in Athens, Lavrio and Aegina.
The film, which has been eagerly awaited for months, one of the few productions that managed to not only start but also complete filming under unprecedented conditions due to the pandemic, is expected to be released later this year (2021).
The actors
Aris Servetalis, the well-known Greek actor, cinematically reunites with legendary American actor, Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke, Russian superstar Alexander Petrov and a cast of extraordinary Greek actors.
