A heartbreaking incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday in Zografou, a residential district in eastern Athens, where a couple was found dead on the street after jumping from the balcony of their third-floor apartment.

Discovery and Investigation

Their bodies were discovered directly beneath the building where they lived. A passerby, noticing the lifeless figures on the pavement around 2:20 AM, immediately alerted the police.

Authorities suspect that the couple, both around 40 years old, took their own lives voluntarily. A forensic examination confirmed that their injuries were consistent with a fatal fall from a great height.
