Satellite imagery shows areas in Greece before and after Storm Daniel caused massive flooding in the region. Al Jazeera reported that, in just 12 hours, some areas received double the amount of rainfall that’s recorded annually in the capital city Athens.
The flooding caused thousands of evacuations in Greece, as well as at least 15 deaths. The storm also hit Turkey, Bulgaria, and Libya, where at least 150 people were killed, according to a spokesperson for the Benghazi-based Libyan Red Crescent Society.
