Apsifia is an islet of Fokida with great beauty and a history that few know. More specifically, according to archeologists, the sanctuary of the god Apollo was located there. This means, according to archeological excavations, that the history of the island begins somewhere in the late Roman period.

If you approach the island of Apsifia by boat, you will notice that there has been a lighthouse there for many years. It was built there in 1887 together with the house of the lighthouse keeper. Of course, there are no inhabitants on the island, while the name Apsifia was recognized only in 1940.

This small island near Galaxidi has turquoise waters and a special beauty despite its small size. Its maximum length is only 180 meters and its maximum width is 80 meters. In fact, if you get there by boat, you will have the opportunity to swim in one of the two very, very small but impressive beaches.
