Images of "sunburned" stone buildings, which seem like an extension of the Laconic land, shock the visitor and make him an unrepentant lover from the first time he sees them. Among the villages that certainly arouse interest is the small and quiet Lagia, in Eastern Mani, at a distance of 17 km from the famous Vathia and 24 km from Kotronas.

Filled with tower houses and towers, the higher they are the narrower they are, made by the famous craftsmen of the area, each with its own history that is lost over the years, it looks like a time machine traveling back in time. Narrow streets with well-preserved towers, often abandoned, are suitable for a walk in the village, from most parts of which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea.

Place of origin of the family of the "national star" Aliki Vougiouklaki. Some of its most important sights are the church of Agia Triada and Faneromeni.
