The view of the imposing mountain massifs all around is breathtaking. Vradeto village is built on a rock on the southern slopes of Tymfi mountain and is "hugged" on three sides by the gorge of Vikos.

Apart from the picturesqueness and the characteristic continental architecture that characterizes all the villages of Zagori, Vradeto has another peculiarity - a reference point for the village.

It is its famous staircase, a stone path that connects the village with the neighboring Kapesovo village. It counts about 1200 steps, 39 curves and a journey of about an hour, with breathtaking views. The staircase dates back to the 18th century and it is said that it took 20 years to complete.

It is one of the most important sights of the village, with the most traffic, located on the north side of Mezaria. The staircase of Vradeto is built of the famous dry stones that the famous craftsmen of Epirus used to connect the two villages. The staircase also served as the entrance and exit of the village.

It is worth mentioning that since 1998 both the staircase and the two stone bridges - all samples of local folk architecture and the way of survival and communication of the inhabitants of the area at that time - between the two villages have been designated as historical monuments.
