"Evrytos", a graffiti artist whose works on the theme "Fighters of 1821" went viral on the walls of Athens and were reproduced thousands of times, far surpassing the number of people who could see them on the street.
Evrytos captures personalities of struggle and asceticism, who yet are unique through their simplicity. An anonymous fighter, Karaiskakis, Nikitaras and a simple priest are the first of his works created under the regime of "fear" because there is always the "fear" of the Hellenic Police, which can arrest him for doing what normally the state itself should do.
As he points out, the purpose of his efforts is to convey the correct messages of the Revolution. Efforts that, as he points out, will continue until March 25, as that day will be dedicated to issues related to 1821 and the purpose of the revolution.
"The ideal would be for all the graffiti to be in central locations, in places where thousands of Greeks pass by, so as not to forget the message of the Revolution and the struggle for freedom, although such a thing is very difficult, since, in addition to the police, some make sure that they are desecrated. That is why most of my works are in schools, terraces, abandoned buildings so that I can finish them in peace and safety ", says" Evrytos ".
However, in his effort, he has already found supporters, because, as he says, after the wide dissemination of his work on the Internet, there were many who approached him to help him and support him in practice.
