 The city of Agrigento stands on a hill overlooking the sea and the UNESCO protected Ancient Greek ruins of the Valley of the Temples. On the southern coast of Sicily, it is famous for having been one of the most important cities during the golden age of Ancient Greece. Nowadays the city of Agrigento is surrounded by modern road constructions, but when you reach the heart of the town you will find yourself lost in the narrow alleyways that wind up the hill and lead to the medieval core on Via Atenea.
