Those who arrive on the island of Aphrodite and are informed about the must-see places understand from the first moment that the island with the turquoise waters at Kimolos must be visited. This is one of the main reasons why the day trips with the boats that depart from Milos every morning during the summer months are so successful.

Many tourist boats from Milos - Kimolos arrive at Polyaigos every day and go to its waters for one or two hours. Although you cannot stay long because of the sun and the fact that the only way to enjoy its cool waters is to jump off the boat, every second there is worthwhile.

The adventurous people go swimming to the wild beauty of the deserted beaches that resemble natural pools while the boats take you to a certain point. With a private boat, you might be able to get a little closer. The whole scene is very reminiscent of Malta's famous Blue Lagoon, which attracts thousands of tourists every summer.

Impressive volcanic rocks, crystal clear waters, and seal pups are just some of the features that make this island so unique. During the tour, the locals will talk to you about the two quarries.

Today there is no permanent resident, although at one time more than 150 citizens lived there permanently. The number dropped to 14 until there was no one left.
