The wild horses on Olympus mountain: Bucephalus’ descendants galloping in nature!

On the top of the mountain, within the alpine tundra the Bucephalus’ descendants enjoy their freedom. It is well-known that Bucephalus was Great Alexander’s horse.

Dimitris Tosidis, a local photographer spotted and captured these unique horses for the intimenews agency. While in the past these amazing creatures were disturbed by human presence and locals lost their track it is claimed that nowadays more and more visitors mention that they had the opportunity to admire them up close.

According to the locals the herd is getting bigger and bigger Mount Olympus is a refuge for a historically significant herd of these Impressive and stunningly beautiful wild animals to live and reproduce.
