Trikala is not the typical provincial town and is more reminiscent of a European city.

First of all, it is the number one city in Greece for cycling and 8 out of 10 inhabitants choose the bike from the car, which gives the visitor the opportunity to relax for a while from horns and traffic.

So you can enjoy your bike ride around the picturesque river of the city and then good appetizers in the beautiful shops of Trikala.

Trikala Municipality was the first to start the anti-smoking movement a few years ago and applied a ban on cigarettes in shops and services under the slogan "Trikala cuts the cigarette - It's a matter of culture".

Ideally, the city is worth a short trip from the city center in the winter season to see that there are such beautiful places in Greece traditional and European at the same time.
