During the Ministry of Health daily briefing on the course of the coronavirus in Greece, spokesman and infectious diseases specialist, Sotiris Tsiodras, reported 52 new cases, bringing the total number of cases to 1,884.

Of these, 509 infections relate to travelling abroad and 708 relate to cases within the territory, while the rest are neither related to travel nor to another known case or are still under investigation.

Two deaths have occurred over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 83. The average age of the deceased was 74 years old and 87% had an underlying health condition or were 70 years old and over.

Eighty-four people with an average age 67 years old are intubated, 77% of them have an underlying health condition or are over 70 years old and 14 patients have been discharged from the ICUs. 32,528 diagnostic lab tests have been carried out nationwide.
