Shocking Videos Capture Landslide in Santorini – Residents Flee in Panic

Santorini has been on high alert in recent hours as successive earthquakes continue to strike, triggering landslides and prompting a mass exodus of residents.

The island, along with other parts of the Cyclades, remains shaken by ongoing seismic activity. Earthquakes ranging between 4.5 and 5 on the Richter scale are being recorded frequently, though experts warn they are not sufficient to release the built-up tension.

Videos published online capture the sounds of the relentless tremors, while landslides can be seen occurring in the Caldera. Another landslide has also been reported in the Athinios port area.

Earlier, an emergency alert was sent via the 112 system, warning residents of landslide risks due to the continuous earthquakes over the past few days.

Although no official evacuation order has been issued, at least 10,000 people have already left the island. Long queues have formed as people scramble for tickets, and emergency flights have been scheduled.

Locals and workers describe terrifying scenes, saying, "The ground just won’t stop shaking." Tourists and residents are fleeing Santorini in haste, with fully booked planes and ferries leaving the island as many desperately seek a way out.
