Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today that his forces have taken full control of the Russian city of Sundza, located in the Kursk region, which has been the site of a surprise attack by Kyiv's forces for the past week.

The chief of the Ukrainian army, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported the completion of the liberation of the city of Sundza from Russian military control, Zelensky said on Telegram.

This city, with a population of 5,500 residents, represents the main achievement of the Ukrainian forces in their offensive in the Kursk region.
