A sexual assault allegation against a 63-year-old national gymnastics coach has shaken the Hellenic Gymnastics Federation. A 26-year-old former gymnast accused the coach of sexually harassing as a minor on a daily basis, isolating her and demanding she hand over her prize money from competitions.

This coach had previously been accused of sexual harassment by four other athletes in 2022, but remained in his position.

Authorities have arranged to hear from two people from the victim’s inner circle, while the latter has also been called to provide further testimony.

According to reports from MEGA, more victims may come forward in the coming days, with two new complaints expected within the next 24 hours. One involves another gymnast reporting abusive behavior from the coach during her childhood. The second may concern individuals still within the coach’s circle.
