Storm Elias Devastates Central Greece
Storm Elias, the second powerful to hit Greece in a month, has devastated the central regions of the country. Torrential rainfall has flooded and devastated the city of Volos and other areas in Central Greece. Thousands of homes have been flooded, bridges have been damaged, and roads have been inundated. The storm has also affected the water and power supply in the region. Earlier in the first storm, named Daniel, up to a fifth of the country's cotton crop was destroyed and around 200,000 poultry animals were killed.
