The representation of life in Ancient Sparta and attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors is the goal of the historical theme park "Spartapolis", a project that aims to change the "map" of the city and that the Sparta City Council wants to implement.

The park, where visitors can "explore" the ancient city of Sparta, Leonidas and Lycurgus and the life of Ancient Spartans, is an innovative development project in the field of culture and tourism, with the aim of gaining international recognition and attracting a large volume of domestic and mainly foreign tourism.

Theme parks are a clear point of attraction for visitors to popular tourist destinations worldwide. Sparta uses its name, history and international recognition. Through the creation of "Spartapolis", emphasis is placed on strengthening and highlighting the city's comparative advantages (historical background, international legibility, natural beauty, mild climate, short distances), elements that establish it as a top destination but require more extensive projection.
