Turkish provocations against Greece are now on a daily basis

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is making provocative statements against Greece, on a daily basis.

According to German media, the Turkish president asked to investigate the possibility of sinking a Greek warship in the Aegean so that there are no casualties, or downing a fighter jet, which, however, was rejected by the generals of the Turkish General Staff.
Erdogan’s stance is of particular concern in Brussels and Washington.
The State Department announced on Tuesday the partial lifting of the arms embargo on Cyprus, which is symbolic, as it does not change the military balance in the region, but at the diplomatic level it is an objective disapproval of Ankara’s tactics.

At the same time, according to the French press, the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle sailed from Toulon to the Eastern Mediterranean, accompanied by an unidentified number of ships.

For its part, Greece is constantly pursuing diplomatic contacts with the aim of strengthening its positions in the international institutions.
On Tuesday, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias had a telephone conversation with his UAE counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with whom he spoke about developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the promotion of regional stability.

Mr. Dendias will then travel to New York on Friday, where he will meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
