Athens of 1961 in an amazing video

British Pathe published a video of ancient Athens through her channel on Youtube. We see the main streets of Athens with more busses and trolleys than cars. In summer there seem to be very few tourist shops with few tourists in the Plaka. On Syntagma Square we see a traveling photographer with an old camera taking pictures of a little boy sitting on a bench.

Also unbelievable are the pictures from Mikrolimano in Piraeus with incredibly low buildings and a large fleet of fishermen in the harbor.

In Vouliagmeni, we see a beach with many swimming people and Hymettus being free of any building construction activity.
