Greece - Elafonisos in 4K

In antiquity, Elafonisos did not constitute an island but a peninsula with the name "Onou Gnathos" (Donkey's Jawbone), according to Pafsania, who during his tour describes the city that is allocated today in the area of the islet Pavlopetri where even now are distinguished ruins of houses and cart roads, also distinguished in the Kalogera, the islet Kastella and elsewhere. Pavsanias also mentions among others, numerous holy findings and the tomb of Kinados, captain of Menelaos in the expedition against the city of Troy, probably identical with the Pyramid in Viglafia with a base of 17,5x16 meters which is almost destroyed today.
